I write this as a Chartered Accountant with an MBA, working as a Business Analyst at MAW Earthmovers, and newly married. In a short span, I have taken on the roles of wife and daughter-in-law, alongside my professional responsibilities. I know more roles will come, and I accept that I will not always get the balance right. Still, I continue to show up—at work and at home—because both matter.

For many women, life feels like managing two full-time roles. One revolves around targets and deadlines, while the other is shaped by care, relationships, and unseen responsibilities. Some days everything aligns, but on others, both worlds demand more, making balance feel difficult and exhausting.

Yet, there is quiet fulfilment in this journey. After a long day, contributing to family life—through small acts like cooking or simply being present—brings meaningful satisfaction. These moments create a sense of connection that makes the effort worthwhile.

At the same time, challenges remain. Physical fatigue and mental load can feel overwhelming, with constant planning and adjustment. What makes a real difference is support at home. My husband shares responsibilities and stands beside me, turning marriage into a partnership.

Balance is not fixed; it shifts with time and priorities. For women managing both worlds, perfection is not the goal—showing up and finding meaning in both roles truly matters.
