Exploring the City as cyclist with Bal Kumar Shrestha

In the times like covid where every person felt like trapped in four walls, for Mr. Shrestha, cycling gave him a space and a freedom to move beyond it, take detours and connect more with the surroundings. What became a simple habit soon became his passion. From the hustling in finance to a monthly escape to different destinations, it has slowly turned into a lifestyle.

Along with his friend, Mr. Shrestha goes on a monthly trip on his cycle around Kathmandu to beautiful locations be it Shivapuri or Chisapani or Kulekhani. Now he has stepped into a challenge for himself and says, “I plan to compete in the Professional Cycling tournament ‘KORA Challenge’ this year”.

Working as an Admin executive at MAW Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd and addressing operations on a daily basis, Mr. Khadka has raised the bar in following his passion beyond work. Mr. Khadka is a badminton player creating a benchmark of physical and mental well-being.

And we all say, “We are busy. Don’t have time. Corporate has no work-life balance.” Let’s turn out towards his journey, “Alongside my role as an Admin Executive, I am passionate about badminton and act as a Badminton Asia Certified Umpire, officiating major tournaments including the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 (Bahrain), Badminton Asia Championships 2025 (China), 13th South Asian Games (Nepal), Badminton Asia Junior Championships 2019 (China), and other international events in China, Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal.”

Niraj Chaudhary: His passion beyond work, yet for work

Mr. Chaudhary is a Service Engineer at MAW Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd driven by passion for technical content creation. His tiktok is flooded with solutions to technical glitches faced by customers encouraging and influencing several technical engineers across the country. Here is what he has to say,

“Hi. I make videos about JCB maintenance and repair works and upload them in tiktok, and people seem to like them. I have 120K followers. I also upload nature and landscape videos during my travels to sites. I love what I do as a Service Engineer and upload the videos which people love and encourage me to post more.”

Ashish Bharati, Popularly known as “Ronny” : Motorsport Champion

Do you believe it? You are working beside the Motorsport Champion who has made history by becoming the first nepali to win a gold medal in a 4 wheel motorsport event, APMC 2025 Auto Gymkhana segment.

Managing the role of Technical Trainer in MAW Vriddhi Autocorp Pvt Ltd. Service station located at Sitapaila, Mr. Bharati trains the dealership technical team with technical know-how to navigate the customer concerns on a regular basis.

Ashish’s passion for motorsport has made him Nepal’s leading four-wheel racers and the country’s top contender at FIA Asia Pacific Motorsport Champion in Colombo. He has previously represented Nepal in several platforms across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and many more. Kudos to his resilience for passion. VROOOOM VROOOOM!!

Peoples’ passion from land of Himalayas

Trekking is more than just a journey through the mountains, it is a rhythm of life. From quiet forest trails to high altitude passes with breathtaking views, it is a passion passed down through experiences, seasons and stories written on every trail.

Among those who live for this passion is one of our teammates, Mr. Bir Sundar Thapa who works in Capability Development. His trekking journey began in 2013 with a trek to Rara lake, one of Nepal’s most majestic destinations. Since then, he has made it a personal tradition to go trekking every year. Through each trek, he continues to explore new paths, push his limits and return with renewed perspective.

Next year, he plans to go on an incredible journey of trekking to Everest Base Camp, continuing his journey of exploration and adventure. For now, showcasing here a few moments captured from his previous treks, reflecting the beauty of his journey.

Apart from my responsibilities as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) in MAW Earthmovers Pvt Ltd for the last 9 years, I thoroughly enjoy singing and playing guitar.

This has been working as a therapy for me, for a long time. I find joy and peace rejuvenating me on a daily basis providing a solid purpose to continue my passion for singing and playing guitar.

Converting purpose into action, I have dared and recently launched my solo song ‘Jaba’ along with a video on YouTube. The overwhelming response received from within the colleagues and general public continues to inspire me.
